Special Designated Funds

Special funds that are designed to address a particular need. These are intended for long-term solutions for funding long-term challenges. These special funds are directed by the NPPS Foundation Board of Directors.

REACH Grants

Fund created in 1998.

The particular purpose of this fund is to create financial support for innovative programs and learning opportunities that are outside of the school budget.

The REACH Grants effect all areas and schools that are part of the North Platte Public Schools. Funds go to the particular funded program and is administered by the NPPS Foundation. Funds are restricted to NPPS District.

Prepared to Learn Fund

Fund created in 2010.

A fund created to provide support for students that have needs that are hampering their learning opportunities. This is to be done with attention to maintaining the dignitiy of the effected student . The goal is to immediately effect learning with the smallest possible delay.

The goal of this fund is make sure that each student has the most robust learning experience possible every day that they are in NP Public Schools.

Types of anticipated need will include schools supplies, activities passes, physicals fees, breakfast and lunch, coats, shoes, individual sports equipment like basketball shoes, backpacks and more.

NPPS Foundation Board of Directors hopes to create a fund that will eventually grow to the level that it will care for the needs of the students annually through fund growth thus making it a long-term solution to providing support for students.
